Right now, I am thinking I would take some more snow over the allergy problems I am having. Ok, maybe not, but this is just about as hard to deal with. Thought I would write a few lines while I have a few free moments. We are getting ready for spring puppies to sprout and grow and they will be lovier than any spring flower and won’t make me sneeze. If you are getting ready to think about adding that new 4-legged family member, now would be the time to check out our pups, here at Oldfield Outdoors. I am betting we will have one that you will fall in love with.
Have a great weekend, Brenda
Hi, as usual, I am much longer, than intended, in updating my blog. I get busy and forget to post. I think everyone pretty much knows what I am up to. It is pretty easy to figure out, not a lot of mystery in what I do. Very routine and at most times unexciting, but all very necessary routine chores that keep me very busy. And, since I love what I do, I don’t mind the routine. The smiles and greetings I get from all my 4-legged buddies, are all the excitement and reward I need.
We still have a couple of female Rottie pups available and since I have several new litters coming up, now would be the best opportunity to get a really good deal on an exceptional quality Rottie from top champion bloodlines.
We have several litters of Papillons due also, so, come April, I am going to be extremely business, so I will probably get behind on the blog, then for sure. Be patient with me and fill free to send me an e-mail, if you want to check in with us.
I did get some exciting news (for me anyway). A couple of weeks ago, I received an e-mail from a young lady that had purchased a Papillon from me about 4 years ago. She, her husband and Romeo are in Dubai and they were featured in the middle east addition of Harpers Bazaar Magazine. They did a beautiful, fun, spread with them and everyone absolutely fell in love with him. I am trying to get a copy of it and will post the spread here on my site when I get it. But it made me quite proud of my beautiful little boy.
So, keep the news, photos and updates of my “babies” coming in. Even when they are not babies anymore. I love keeping up with them and seeing photos of them as they grow. So, please don’t feel you are bothering me, with updates and pics. I love it! I have had some of my Papillons make calendars, so, anytime you want to share with us, feel free. It makes us feel like proud parents.
Keep an eye out for new postings of the new arrivals and I look forward to posting new photos of the pups, soon.
Later, Brenda
I will have to get out and get to work early tomorrow, to beat this weather coming in. Our kennels are climate controlled but the Rotties love to play out in the cold and snow, even the Rottie pups love it. Some of the little ones like it too, but are quicker to come in out of the cold. We still have some gorgeous Rottweiler and Papillon puppies available. Whether you are a big dog person or prefer the little lap dogs or love both like me, our pups will charm and delight you and give you and your family years of enjoyment and unconditional love.
Randy has started his fishing season and has already had a couple of great Lake Fork Lunkers in the boat. Fri Jan 28th they caught a 9 1/2 lber and today, Mon Jan 31st caught a real giant at 12.75 lbs. What a way to start the year!

Paid vacations and sick days went out the window over 20 years ago but I wouldn’t take them back in place of the reception I get everyday from my 4-legged bosses. Thanks goodness for the unconditional love of our dogs. They don’t care that I looked like death warmed over for a few days. They still greeted me with their loving smiles and wagging tail and did their best to make me feel better. I did get some new photos of the pups, yesterday. The female Rottie pups just keep getting more incredible looking everyday. We have just 2 Papapoos left and they are so delightful.
Have a nice day, everyone, more later.
Well, I for one am glad they are over. Maybe we can get back to some kind of regular routine, around here. It has been quite awhile since I have had time to work on my site, but hope to get everything up to date soon. Since we have several inches of snow on the ground, this seemed like a good time to get started. The Rotties are loving it, me, not so much.
Hunting season is over and Randy will start his fishing season, soon. Book quickly for your spring, pre-spawn or spawn fishing trip. If you have never experienced a night time fishing trip, treat yourself to that, this summer.
Our dogs/puppies are all doing great. Our latest litter of Rottweiler puppies was all we hoped for. The pups are gorgeous, heavy bone structure, large heads. We have only 3 females left available. We are so pleased with all the new Rotties we have added to our family over the last two to three years. All of which are from champion parents. You can count on Oldfield Rottweilers being the place to come for your quality Rottweiler puppy.
We have Papillon puppies available. A couple of gorgeous males that are ready and showing great potential for breed/show quality. A couple of young females will be ready soon.
Then comes the Papapoo. It has been 15 years since our first accidental breeding that created this incredible little dog and they are still just as incredible. We have 2 males and 1 female left available. Here is a photo of one of the females.
Oops, hear a puppy calling me. More later.
Brenda

The Rottie pups are also doing great. They are almost 3 wks and so big and gorgeous. We have 4 females and 1 male available and will take photos of them soon. You can reserve yours now.
Happy Holidays, from Oldfield Outdoors
We are very excited about this litter of Rotties. Both parents are champion sired out of some of Europe’s finest champion bloodlines. We have 4 females and 1 male. Check with us soon to reserve your pup. Our Rotties go fast. We offer pet/companion as well as breed/show quality potential, so prices can vary, but will run from around $850.00 to $1500.00.
We have new arrivals of, what I think is the greatest of the “designer” breeds, the Papapoos. We have 2 new litters, born 10/30/10 and 11/01/10. We have 3 males and 5 females available. They will be gorgeous, of course, and Papapoos are always wonderful, sweet dogs. They are highly intelligent, low maintenance, equal parts cuddly and playful. Check back with us, soon, for photos.

Hi, to those new to our site and blog, let me introduce myself and my husband to you. We are Randy and Brenda Oldfield, of Oldfield Outdoors. To those of you that know us and check in with us from time to time, I apologize for the long absence of updates. We have been in the process of reworking our sites.
We are fortunate enough to be able to live our lives doing what we are passionate about. My passion in life is my dogs, big dogs, little dogs, rescue dogs. My big dog of choice is my beloved Rottweilers and my little dog of choice is the ever so smart and beautiful Papillon, the wonderful Toy Poodle also has a very special place in our hearts, also. We havebeen hobby breeders for 20 + years. People ask me, all the time, if I get tired of what I do or the repetitive work? The answer is no! I still love what I do and I know that shows in the quality of puppies I produce. We are, as we always have been, about quality not quantity.
We have added to our Rottweiler family, over the last couple of years, by importing champion sired puppies, out of some of the finest European champion bloodlines. Thus, insuring that here at Oldfield Outdoors, we will always have the finest quality breeders to produce the best in Rottweiler puppies. Our Rottweilers have always been from excellent champion bloodlines but our new dogs are out of top European champions with either one or both parents being champions. We go from having one of the largest studs in our Rottweiler, “Bull” at around 162 lbs to one of the smallest studs in “LB” and now his son “Zeke” in our Papillons at around 3 lbs.
Our Papillon base is from excellent champion bloodlines. We have chosen not to go into showing, although I gave it some serious thought. So, we started with some fine dogs and kept those lines alive and added to them, as well. We offer wonderful pet/companion puppies as well breed/show quality. We have lovely, sweet puppies that will make a wonderful addition to your family and, I think, enrich your life.
I like to think that I pay forward to the animal world with the rescue work we do. We are the ones that rescued “Nellie” the chocolate lab pup that was dragged behind a pick-up truck, a few years ago. After a long stretch in the hospital, recovering from massive wounds and several surgeries, she came home to live with us permanently. She is doing very well and again, I would like to thank the hundreds of people that responded to her plight. We have added numerous rescue animals to our family, although, none with the notoriety of Nellie.
As, I hope, you can tell, we love animals and the outdoors and I feel very blessed to be able to share my life with so many wonderful critters. They are a very big and important part of our lives and are treated as part of our family. When you are ready to add a new four-legged member to your family, I hope you will give us the chance to help you with that choice.
We got into “designer” breeds by accident, when, about 15 years ago, one of our female Poodles “fell in love” with one of our Papillon males. After nearly breaking her neck to get to him, the Papapoos were created. It turned out to be a great accident as it produced what is just about the perfect toy dog. Since Papillons are rated #1 in intelligence in toy breeds and Poodles #2, the Papapoo is the smartest of the Poodle mixes. They are gorgeous, sweet and have a wonderful disposition. For people with allergies or wanting a non shedding dog, the Poodle mix has always been the number one chose. There are several Poodle mixes that have been around for 30 or 40 year. Although, the Papapoo has not been around that long, it is here to stay.
The rewards of rescue work is not monetary. So, it tends to get very expensive taking in and restoring to health the many rescue animals we take in. So,that is how I got into a couple of other Poodle mixes. I rescued a wonderful Cocker Spaniel female, then later a Pekinese female. Both are wonderful, healthy girls that meet AKC breed standards. So, they help enable me to continue to help the many abandoned and injured dogs/cats that come ourway, by periodically giving us a litter of Cockapoos and Peekapoos. They are great moms that give us wonderful puppies, that have made several families very happy. It is sort of like a commune, everybody contributes for the goodness of all. I think it is fair to say, since we have many repeat and referral clients, that we are good at what we do and meet my goal of producing wonderful, well adjusted, well socialized puppies. Give one of our puppies the chance to enchant and delight you.
Randy’s passion is hunting and fishing, which he has been doing since he was a very young child. He spent every free moment exploring and teaching himself his craft. He has been a full time hunting and fishing guide for 20 + years. He guides for Large Mouth Black Bass on Lake Fork, TX and Cyprus Springs Lake, from Jan thru Oct, then guides for Trophy White Tail Deer all over Texas. He and his clients have landed numerous Black Bass 10 pounds and over and our hunters are always happy with the results of their time spent in the outdoors with Randy. Randy has a very devoted client base, many of which have been hunting and or fishing with him for 20 years. They wouldn’t keep coming back to him if he didn’t “produce” for them. He gives it his ALL 100 % of the time.
I hope you will stop in and visit with us from time to time, to see what’s new with us and drop us an e-mail if you have any questions. I will try to keep this up dated as much as possible. So, don’t get bored with me, Later, Brenda
