“Dog and cat breeders are regulated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, PO Box 12157 Austin, TX. 78711 (800) 803-9202 (512) 463-6599 www.license.state.tx.us LICENSE # 183
We are now licensed and inspected by the state of Texas, in compliance with the new state laws. This has in no way changed the way that we have always raised our puppies but for those of you checking us out for the first time, we hope this will give you more confidence in knowing you can be assured your new family member is coming from a loving, caring breeder and not a puppy mill, as we have always been in very high standings with AKC and now the state of Texas.
Hello, my name is Brenda. My husband Randy and I are proud to welcome you and to share our dog world with you, primarily Rottweilers and Papillons and Toy Poodles.
Randy and I have been heavily involved in hobby breeding since 1990. If you are looking for a quality pet/companion or potential show quality, in a Papillon, Rottweiler, or Toy Poodle or one of our Poodle mixes, such as the Papapoo or Peekapoo, you will find the best of quality, in our home raised puppies.
We have produced some wonderful Papillon, Rottweiler and Toy Poodle puppies over the years, as well as our Papapoos and other designer mixes. We have been very consistent in producing great dispositions, temperaments and sound genetics, which although, is extra important in the Rottweiler, is also important in our Papillons and Toy Poodles. Each puppy we sale comes with a written health warranty to back up our word.
Whether you are within driving distance of our small East Texas town of Grand Saline, or need to have your puppy shipped to you, you can buy with confidence, from us, knowing that we are about quality and not quantity. An AKC inspector once told me that our setup should be a prerequisite for anybody wanting to breed in the state of Texas or any other hot climate. As our facilities are climate controlled, with plenty of indoor/outdoor play areas.
Although many will find it strange that we breed and sell huge Rottweilers and tiny Papillons and Toy Poodles, each breed has a special place in our hearts. All of our dogs are a big and active part of our daily lives, with each one getting lots of one on one attention. Our puppies get my undivided attention from the time they are whelped, until the time I finally release them to their new, approved, adoptive parents. I get very attached to our puppies and prefer to use the term “adopt” over “sale” regarding them, because I strive to place each and every puppy we sale in a loving home environment , where they are truly a part of the family.
We keep our puppies with us for at least eight weeks of age. When they do leave my care, they will be up to date on puppy shots and de-wormings and will have been vet checked and approved.
I had always been a big dog person, so when Randy introduced me to the Rottweiler breed, which he had owned and been involved with for several years, I was immediately taken with the breed and have not been without a Rottweiler since my first one entered my life and cannot imagine not having at least one, in my life. I find the Rottweiler an absolutely gorgeous dog and love the power, strength and fierce loyalty that the dogs possess. Raised properly they are loving, protective, companions for life. Being raised incorrectly is where the problems come in. I am, for that reason, very particular about whom I place my Rottweilers with.
Then I met my first Papillon and it stole my heart in a way that I would never have believed possible. The Papillon is my little “big” dog. I met my first Papillon in the early eighties and even though I was just breeding Rottweilers at the time, I never forgot that first Papillon encounter. So, when I decided that I wanted to add some toy breeds to our household, my first choice was the Papillon and Randy’s first choice was Toy Poodle (that’s what he grew up with, as so many of us did). So, we went with both and the rest, as they say, is history. The Papillon is intelligent, beyond belief and just as fearless. They are wonderful, loving companions and lap dogs, as well as excelling at agility and other show ring activities. They are a great start for a family wanting to get involved in going that step farther, with agility or comformation showing. Whether it be agility, confirmation or therapy work, a Papillon is an excellent choice.
The Toy Poodle is such a perfect little dog and the right choice for so many, especially those that suffer from allergies. They are loving, loyal companions that also shine in the show ring. The Toy Poodle, with its classic looks is instantly recognizable. Accompanied with their classic looks, loyalty and intelligence they are the perfect companion. Like the Papillon, because of their small size, they are a good fit for just about any home, with supervision around small children.
We got into designer breeds by accident. I go into the story more fully on my Toy Poodle page, but let’s just say the accident that brought the Papapoos into our lives, is one I don’t regret. They are such a perfect combination of the Papillon and Toy Poodle and given the added bonus of not shedding and not having to be groomed, in my opinion, make them just about the perfect toy dog. They are not hyper or yappy and are equally playful and cuddly.
I got into Shihpoos, more or less, by request. They are sweet, loving dogs that make a wonderful family companion. We usually offer only one litter a year but they are worth the wait.
The designer dogs definitely have a permanent place in our society for several reasons, but the mix should serve a purpose, such as getting a hyper allergenic dog, with a wonderful temperament and high intelligence level. You are taking away negative traits and genetic faults that one of the breeds might have. They are said, by vets, to be the healthiest of puppies.
We pride ourselves in placing puppies that are full of confidence, with secure, trusting, loving personalities, ready to fill that special place in your hearts. We raise our puppies in the way that I would want a puppy I was considering buying, to be raised.
So, when you are ready to add a new addition to your family we hope you will give us a chance to make that happen for you. Whether it is one of our multi-championed Papillons or Rottweilers or one of our Toy Poodles or Poodle designer puppies, you will find a happy, healthy, well socialized puppy to fill that need, here. We are a small, quality over quantity, kennel, that produces just a few litters a year of the breeds that we so love.
Finding the right homes for all of our puppies is my primary concern. So, we schedule a lot of our breedings around reservations . You might say we advocate planned parent-hood. So, plan ahead for that new family member and let us know when you want a new Papillon, Rottweiler, Toy Poodle, Papapoo or Shihpoo puppies. You usually would not have too long a wait for a Papillon, Rottweiler, Toy Poodle or our dear Papapoos, so, just a little patience would be required.
As you might be able to tell, we have a love for both ends of the spectrum, the big and the small of it and put equal care and thought into each and every litter we have. So, you can rest assured that your puppy will be raised in a loving, caring, healthy environment and will have the best possible start in life.
You can reserve a puppy with a nonrefundable deposit. Any puppy being sold as pet quality, will be sold with a spay/neuter contract and AKC registration papers (where applicable) will be provided when we have received proof of spay/neuter. We evaluate the quality of our puppies to best of our ability, but cannot guarantee the adult size or breeding/showing quality of any puppy. We back each puppy with a written health guarantee. We offer stud services for our purebreds and limited boarding is available for our local customers.
We advocate micro-chipping and so are happy to offer micro-chipping of your new puppy at a discounted rate.
